CW24_Back from Madrid
A bunch of us just got back from Madrid last week, where we held our first TONES event in Spain, and in the words of Leon, our Head of Live, "It was fucking mental, man.” When we r...
And especially at our headliner's show. The Argentine duo Ca7riel y Paco Amoroso really gave it their all: from a pre-show surprise of the duo serving drinks at the bar and signing autographs between slinging cocktails, to crowd surfing, and triumphantly pacing the stage with a fan's bra over their heads as a souvenir. Yeah, that kind of night.
We haven't stopped thinking about Ca7riel y Paco Amoroso since, and for that reason, we'll be releasing A COLORS ENCORE with them very soon. (Also don't miss their – already – iconic COLORS SHOW)
But Madrid was never just about the headline moments. Leon put it best, “Come experience something — it only requires your energy and an open mind.”
See, TONES is accessible to attend, rooted in the city it lands in, and that's a deliberate choice. We don't think you should have to overspend on a ticket to discover something that changes how you hear and see the world. At the flamenco showcase, you had teenagers standing next to couples in their 60s, holding each other, just watching. Nobody planned that. That's just what happens when you get out of the way and let curiosity do the rest.
