Skinny Pelembe is the musical project of South African born, Doncaster based artist Doya Beardmore whose deeply eclectic sounds transport you to another world. With a handful of EPs under his belt in the form of ‘Seven Year Curse’, ‘Spit/Swallow’ and ‘Sleep More, Make More Friends’, the rising newcomer released his awaited debut album ‘Dreaming Is Dead Now’ this past May. Featuring previously released singles ‘No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish’ and ‘Spit / Swallow’, the ten-track project is a dream-like journey which brings together an amalgamation of sounds and influences.
