JOB OVERVIEW
COLORS has successfully built a platform that has created a space for creatives to share their art and vision. We’re currently expanding the team and looking for a Working Student in Accounting to help maintain the financial health and compliance of the company. In this role you will play a key part in managing the company’s accounts payable with precision and efficiency. Your main responsibilities include processing invoices, verifying financial transactions, resolving discrepancies, and handling travel expense transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

As a Working Student in Accounting, you will work closely with the Financial Manager to perform the following tasks:

  • Bookkeeping: Assist with accounts payable and receivable. Support the processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. Help reconcile bank accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Aid in preparing financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements. Contribute to tracking financial performance through reports like profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the preparation of VAT returns and help ensure compliance with German tax regulations.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and assist in organizing financial documentation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with creating budgets and forecasts. Help monitor actual performance versus budget.
  • Audit Support: Provide assistance during internal and external audits. Help implement and maintain financial controls.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to deliver financial insights.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Has knowledge of Accounting principles with experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, DATEV) being a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & G-Suite.
  • Fluent in both English and German (written and spoken); proficiency in French is a bonus.
  • A detail-oriented, proactive individual who enjoys problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has a strong interest & passion for music and is attuned to both the COLORS brand and wider landscape of music, culture, apparel, and lifestyle.
