Rapsody – DND (It’s Not Personal) | A COLORS SHOW
Over the past decade, North Carolina native Rapsody (aka Marlanna Evans) has continually impressed listeners with her thoughtful pen and sharp flow, cementing herself as one of the best emcees of her generation in the process. Since releasing her debut studio album, ‘The Idea of Beautiful’, in 2012, Rapsody has dropped several projects including her Grammy-nominated album ‘Laila’s Wisdom’ (2017), ‘Eve’ (2019), and most recently, ‘Please Don’t Cry’ (2024). The latter includes highlights like ‘Asteroids’ and ‘Stand Tall’, and features collaborations with Bibi Bourelly, Hit-Boy, Lil Wayne, and fellow COLORS alum DIXSON to name a few.
For her debut A COLORS SHOW, Rapsody steps onto the stage to share a reflective performance of ‘DND (It’s Not Personal)’, another highlight from the new album. Against a funk-filled soundscape that boasts a crisp beat and a smooth outro, the artist serves up slick rhymes that embrace the importance of solitude, self-discovery, and inner peace. Groove along to ‘DND (It’s Not Personal)’ here and be sure to check out the rest of Rapsody’s new album ‘Please Don’t Cry’, which is out now.
