Born and raised in Madrid, La Cendejas (formerly known as Paula Cendejas) started her musical career by uploading cover videos on YouTube. It wasn’t until she shared her arresting rendition of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s ‘Despacito’, however, that she caught the music world’s attention. Since then, she’s released a string of singles—including ‘Tu Cama’ (ft. Jesse Baez), ‘SAL DE MI CABEZA’, ‘YA TE AVISE’ and ‘Otro Lugar’—and collaborated with the likes of C. Tangana and COLORS alum Girl Ultra. In 2023, Cendejas released ‘FOMO’, her debut solo album. Eleven tracks long, the project delves into the artist’s fear of missing out during the creation of the record, and perfectly showcases her unique blend of Latin pop and R&B.

For COLORS, Cendejas shares an intimate performance of ‘Colibrí’, a track from her upcoming EP ‘Tsunami’. The artist’s whispered vocals flutter over deep, haunting piano chords, creating a visceral atmosphere in the process. The intensity increases over the course of the song, as rhythmic drum pulses and glitchy vocal effects are added to the atmospheric soundscore.
