Gracing the COLORS stage well over two years ago with a fabulous performance of ‘Look Like’, London based rapper, poet and visual artist Kojey Radical has since released two brilliant albums in the form of 2017’s ‘In God’s Body’ and most recently, ‘Cashmere Tears’ which dropped this past September. The ten-track project enlists Ghanaian artist Amaarae (who also happens to be Kojey’s cousin) as the sole feature, and captures a funk-filled vibe that boasts the East Londoner’s alluring and authentic storytelling.
Returning with another fire performance for COLORS, Kojey Radical treats us to a groove-inflected rendition of title-track ‘Cashmere Tears’. Those warbling guitar-lines serve as the backbone to the track’s funky atmospherics as Radical recounts deeply personal anecdotes that explore mental health, love, faith and everything in between. A taste of what to expect at our LIVE event in New York on November 15th- check out Kojey Radical’s staggering performance of ‘Cashmere Tears’ above and be sure to give the album a spin too!
