Fally Ipupa – Par Terre | A COLORS SHOW
A member of the successful Congolese band ‘Quartier Latin International’ in the late 1990’s, it wasn’t until 2006 that Kinshasa native Fally Ipupa released his solo debut album. Titled ‘Droit Chemin’, the record paved the way for Ipupa to become one of most celebrated and respected artists in Congolese music. Since then, he has repeatedly delivered unique rhythmic compositions, including records such as ‘Arsenal de Belles Melodies’ (2009), ‘Power “Kosa Leka”’ (2013), ‘Tokooos’ (2017), ‘Control’ (2018), and ‘Tokooos II’ (2020).
For his debut A COLORS SHOW, Ipupa breathes fresh life onto our stage in a spectacular performance of his new single ‘Par Terre’. Indicative of the artist’s unique brand of Congolese rumba, the track sets Ipupa’s soulful and heartwarming Lingala lyrics against an uplifting, guitar-laden soundscape that is sure to get more than a few feet tapping. Enjoy the full performance above, it’s a stunner.
