Earthgang – This Side
Since their debut COLORS performance of ‘UP’ last September, Atlanta based duo EARTHGANG have gone onto release their magnificent new album ‘Mirrorland’ via J. Cole’s Dreamville Records. The fourteen-track project follows the duo’s trilogy of EPs in the form of ‘Rags’, ‘Robots’ and ‘Royalty’ and features contributions from the likes of Young Thug, T-Pain, Kehlani and more.
Returning to the COLORS stage once more, EARTHGANG share an introspective performance of ‘This Side’, a stand out cut taken from ‘Mirrorland’. Produced by Johnny Venus and Natra Average with additional vocals by COLORS alum Mereba, ‘This Side’ sees members Johnny and Dot express their feelings about dealing with fame, “Sometimes I get overwhelmed / I’m in, in over my head”, referencing the unexpected deaths of Nipsey Hustle and XXXTentacion.
