Cordae – Chronicles | A COLORS SHOW
Cordae repurposes sounds from the past in an original and refreshing way. Last month, the Maryland rapper released his sophomore studio album ‘From A Birds Eye View’, featuring contributions from COLORS alumni H.E.R., Gunna, and Freddie Gibbs as well as Lil Wayne and Stevie Wonder. The follow up to 2019’s ‘The Lost Boy’, the album sets Cordae’s witty wordplay against a backdrop of nostalgic hip-hop sounds from the 90’s, 00’s and 10s’.
For his debut A COLORS SHOW, Cordae gets romantic with a special performance of ‘Chronicles’, a highlight from ‘From A Birds Eye View’. The blistering single combines the artist’s smooth flow and slick delivery with sharp beats and soothing guitar lines produced by Don Mills.
