Common – Good Morning Love

For over three decades, Chicago based artist and activist Common (aka Lonnie Corant Jaman Shuka Rashid Lynn) has entertained the masses through a myriad of mediums. Whether it’s through his ardent portrayals as an actor in movies like Selma and Suicide Squad or more recently as an author with latest memoir ‘Let Love Have The Last Word’, Common’s art is unquestionably poignant and timeless. His newly released album ‘Let Love’ echoes the same essence of love, power, faith and everything else in between, with contributions from the likes of COLORS alumni Daniel Caesar, BJ the Chicago Kid and Leon Bridges.

Common hits the COLORS stage with a powerful performance of ‘Good Morning Love’, the magnificent opener to ‘Let Love’. Opening and closing with the stunning vocals of Samora Pinderhughes who captivates in the song’s chorus, Common’s thought-provoking lines sit snugly in the middle as he reflects on himself and on his faith. Watch the session above and be sure to get ‘Let Love’ on rotation too!
