What makes Congolose-French rapper Captaine Roshi such an exciting prospect is not just his versatility as a writer and performer, but his consistency. In the space of a year, the Kinshasa-born artist has released three incredible projects in the form of ‘Attaque’, ‘Contre Attaque’ and ‘W.A.R.’ each of which wonderfully exemplify Roshi’s ability to deliver every single time. With ‘Attaque II’ just around the corner (it’s out November 27th), Roshi continued his streak with the release of singles ‘Molotov’ and ‘Champions’ over the past few months.
Today, Captaine Roshi treats us to another spellbinding cut in the form of ‘Pigalle’ which is also lifted from ‘Attaque II’. With production courtesy of Cartier who lays down a fiery trap-inspired beat, ‘Pigalle’ serves as another taste of Roshi’s magnificent penmanship and slick delivery as he maneuvers his way through the track with a breezy, laidback flow.
