Benny Sings is the musical project of Tim van Berkestijn whose eclectic pop concoctions are driven by a vast array of influences from hip hop and jazz to neo-soul and alternative pop. With a host of albums under his belt, spanning a career of over 15 years, Benny Sings has cemented himself as the truest definition of an artist and musician. Having worked with the likes of Anderson .Paak, MNDSGN, GoldLink and Mayer Hawthorne, the Amsterdam based singer/songwriter has just released his latest album ‘City Pop’ which features contributions from the likes of Faberyayo, Mocky and Cornelius.
As for his COLORS show, Benny Sings serves up the laid back vibes with a wonderful performance of “Not Enough’, the sparkling lead single from his ‘City Pop’ album. Shimmering piano chords are joined by a stellar toe-tapper of a drum beat to create the idyllic backdrop for Benny to lay down his soothing and dreamy vocals.
