Montreal based beatsmith Kaytranada returns with stellar sophomore album ‘BUBBA’, the magnificent follow up to 2015’s ‘99.9%’. Bringing the heat once more, the renowned producer enlists another star-studded line up for this latest project, with tracks featuring COLORS alumni Charlotte Day Wilson, Kali Uchis, Masego, VanJess, SiR and more. Across the album’s seventeen songs, Kaytranada lays down his signature bouncy instrumentation that’s packed with groove and bite for the respective vocalists to work their own magic, but also holds his own on stand out cuts like ‘Scared to Death’ and ‘September 21’.
Spanish singer/producer Bad Gyal shares new dancehall-infused single ‘Zorra’. With Sickdrumz and Scott Storch on production duties, the track is set alight with a fiery beat which serves Bad Gyal with the perfect backdrop to work her magic with those silky smooth vocals. The accompanying music video, which is directed by MANSON (a collective made up of Pau López, Gerardo del Hierro, and Tomás Peña) captures the track’s fierce and powerful aesthetic.

16 year-old Birmingham based singer and producer Matt Ryder bursts onto the scene with his exceptional debut EP titled ’50FT’. Belgium based singer, songwriter and producer Tsar B teases new EP with her dark and intoxicating single ‘Rome (Solve You)’. Since introducing herself with the dazzling ‘Escalate’ back in 2015, Tsar B has gone onto release a slew of stellar releases in the form of her brilliant self-titled EP and stunning debut album ‘The Games I Played’ last year. With ‘Rome (Solve You)’ (which comes accompanied with a video game inspired visual by Lion Beach), the singer teases a new EP, and with that, impresses once more with her gorgeous, silky vocals traipsing across the haunting soundscape.
Canadian-born, London-based artist Dan Snaith aka Caribou marks his return with the fantastic ‘You and I’. the dazzling single from forthcoming new album ‘Suddenly’.An absolutely roller-coaster of a track, the single opens with a twinkling synth-laden soundscape as Snaith’s dreamy tones enter the foray, that’s before the track takes an unexpected turn and bursts into an amalgam of textures and colours. Nigerian AfroBeats star Killertunes drops his highly anticipated new EP ‘Gbedu & Things’. Having worked with the likes of Mr Eazi, Wizkid, DJ Spinall as well as COLORS alum Tiwa Savage, the producer steps into the spotlight with his first solo body of work which features five vibrant and eclectic tracks that entice and invigorate. Setting the scene beautifully with the cheerful ’11:11′, the entire EP is a continuation of Killertunes’ wondrous sounds that’ll have you up and moving from the get go.
Colombia-born, Toronto-based artist Lido Pimienta returns with her first new music since 2016’s ‘La Papessa’ in the form of ‘No Pude’. The spectacular single comes accompanied by an other-worldly and utterly vibrant music video directed by Fitto Segura. A mixture of squelchy and sharp electronics coalesce to serve as the ideal backdrop for Pimienta’s slick vocals to gloss over with ease.
Melbourne based producer Tim Shiel returns with his first non-soundtrack song in five years with ‘Right in Front of You’, a collaboration with Braille Face. A whirling of woozy sounds that intertwine and coalesce to create an entirely immersive atmosphere, ‘Right in Front of You’ is narrated by Spirit Level label-mate Braille Face’s endearing tones while Sydney producer Anatole lends his fabulous trumpet.
Consider yourself introduced to Swedish newcomer Max Nilsson aka Where Is Maps who steps into the spotlight with a dazzling single in the form of ‘Never The Same’. The infectious pop song serves as the lead single to his forthcoming debut EP which is out on December 17th via new label Dreams Never Die. Up-and-coming Melbourne artist ThatKidMaz teams up with rising rapper Jordan Dennis on hard-hitting new single ‘Glow Up’ which follows up his striking debut single ‘No Vibe’. With production from Duan who pens a classic Hip-Hop beat, the simplistic soundscape allows ThatKidMaz and Jordan Dennis to fire off their killer verses which shine from start to finish. The empowering track, which is about Maz’s journey navigating the world in search of ways to channel his individuality, also comes with a great music video directed by Nick Rae.
Jamaica based artist Mikayla Simpson aka Koffee teams up with fellow COLORS alum and rapper Gunna on blistering new single ‘W’. Serving as the follow up to the rising star’s debut project ‘Rapture’ (which is now nominated for a Grammy for Best Reggae Album), ‘W’ is another fiery track which showcases Koffee’s slick delivery as she implores the listener to focus on the wins and not the losses. London based singer/songwriter Rina Sawayama unleashes ‘STFU!’, her nu-metal inspired lead single from her forthcoming (as yet untitled) debut album. The sprawling cut is written alongside long time collaborator Clarence Clarity who pens a fierce and powerful guitar line whilst Sawayama is a force to be reckoned with. Her vocals offer a bite as she sings about the discriminatory comments she’s experienced as a Japanese woman growing up in the West.
