Bad Gyal – Zorra

Spanish singer/producer Bad Gyal shares new dancehall-infused single ‘Zorra’. With Sickdrumz and Scott Storch on production duties, the track is set alight with a fiery beat which serves Bad Gyal with the perfect backdrop to work her magic with those silky smooth vocals. The accompanying music video, which is directed by MANSON (a collective made up of Pau López, Gerardo del Hierro, and Tomás Peña) captures the track’s fierce and powerful aesthetic.

Caribou – You and I

Canadian-born, London-based artist Dan Snaith aka Caribou marks his return with the fantastic ‘You and I’. the dazzling single from forthcoming new album ‘Suddenly’.An absolutely roller-coaster of a track, the single opens with a twinkling synth-laden soundscape as Snaith’s dreamy tones enter the foray, that’s before the track takes an unexpected turn and bursts into an amalgam of textures and colours. Lido Pimienta – No Pude

The spectacular single comes accompanied by an other-worldly and utterly vibrant music video directed by Fitto Segura. A mixture of squelchy and sharp electronics coalesce to serve as the ideal backdrop for Pimienta’s slick vocals to gloss over with ease.

Tim Shiel – Right in Front of You (ft. Braille Face)

Melbourne based producer Tim Shiel returns with his first non-soundtrack song in five years with ‘Right in Front of You’, a collaboration with Braille Face. A whirling of woozy sounds that intertwine and coalesce to create an entirely immersive atmosphere, ‘Right in Front of You’ is narrated by Spirit Level label-mate Braille Face’s endearing tones while Sydney producer Anatole lends his fabulous trumpet.

London based singer, songwriter and producer Låpsley returns with another gorgeous song in the form of ‘Ligne 3’. Originally released in 2017, Los Angeles based trio clipping. share ‘The Deep’, alongside two previously unreleased recordings in the form of ‘Aquacode Databreaks’ (ft. Shabazz Palaces) and ‘Drownt’. Encompassing a futuristic sound, the experimental Hip-Hop group, comprised of rapper Daveed Diggs and producers William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes, work their magic across the three tracks which encompass shape-shifting sci-fi soundscapes.

Up-and-coming Melbourne artist ThatKidMaz teams up with rising rapper Jordan Dennis on hard-hitting new single ‘Glow Up’ which follows up his striking debut single ‘No Vibe’. Koffee – W (ft. Gunna)

Jamaica based artist Mikayla Simpson aka Koffee teams up with fellow COLORS alum and rapper Gunna on blistering new single ‘W’. Serving as the follow up to the rising star’s debut project ‘Rapture’ (which is now nominated for a Grammy for Best Reggae Album), ‘W’ is another fiery track which showcases Koffee’s slick delivery as she implores the listener to focus on the wins and not the losses. Rina Sawayama – STFU!

London based singer/songwriter Rina Sawayama unleashes ‘STFU!’, her nu-metal inspired lead single from her forthcoming (as yet untitled) debut album. The sprawling cut is written alongside long time collaborator Clarence Clarity who pens a fierce and powerful guitar line whilst Sawayama is a force to be reckoned with. Her vocals offer a bite as she sings about the discriminatory comments she’s experienced as a Japanese woman growing up in the West. deka – Tepid

Somali-American fashion designer and artist deka shares ‘Tepid’, a dark and twisted fantastical electronic gem produced by frankie bash and RAFA MAYA. Apart from a few (brilliant) mixes, you can only find one other song by the Minneapolis based artist, it’s the mesmerising ‘ESCAPIST’ which dropped in 2017. On latest single ‘Tepid’, deka’s ghostly vocals creep across the moody soundscape creating an absolutely breathtaking atmosphere.

WaqWaq Kingdom – Essaka Hoisa

Berlin based Japanese tribal bass duo WaqWaq Kingdom release their psychedelic and kaleidoscopic new album ‘Essaka Hoisa’. Consisting of Shigeru Ishihara (DJ Scotch Egg / Seefeel) and Kiki Hitomi (King Midas Sound), the pair throw you into a swirling whirlwind of sounds from opening track ‘Mum Tells Me’. A melting pot of genres, the pair expertly blend together traditional style Minyo with Jamaican drums, electronic flourishes, dancehall and much more to create a project that is truly unique and intriguing.
