Dasychira – Swirl

South African-born, New York-based artist Dasychira (pronounced /ˈdah.see.kira/) unveils transcendent new visual for ‘Swirl’. The spellbinding and otherworldly music video directed and edited by Guille Santos wonderfully captures the song’s magical and awe-inspiring atmospherics which combine celestial electronics with heavenly violins courtesy of Vivek Menon. pecas – Hired Gun

Brooklyn based artist pecas aka Sandy Davis shares sensual and magical new electronic-led single ‘Hired Gun’ accompanied by a striking visual. The sparse production allows breathing space for Davis’ impeccably smooth and icy vocals to sweep across as she sings about “an imperfect human trying to love and be loved by a robotic counterpart”. min.a – Hi-FI

Consider yourself introduced to New York City based singer, songwriter and producer min.a who dazzles on her new EP ‘Hi-Fi’. Written, performed, produced, mixed AND mastered by min.a herself, the four-track project packs quite the punch, showcasing the artist’s striking production and eloquent songwriting skills. From opener ‘Own Up To It’ to closing number ‘Here For You’, each song serves as delicious slice of electronic pop that sounds just as refreshing with each listen.

Against All Logic – Illusions Of Shameless Abundance

Chilean-American producer Nicolas Jaar teases new Against All Logic album with double-A side EP ‘Illusions of Shameless Abundance’. The two tracks ‘Alucinao’ (featuring FKA twigs and Estado Unido) and ‘Illusions of Shameless Abundance’ (featuring Lydia Lunch)’ are shape-shifting electronic cuts that twist and turn, dip and dive in all directions. If this EP is anything to go by, the new record (titled ‘2017-2019’ which is out February 7th), is shaping up to be one of the most striking and vivid projects you’ll hear this year.

deka – Tepid

Somali-American fashion designer and artist deka shares ‘Tepid’, a dark and twisted fantastical electronic gem produced by frankie bash and RAFA MAYA. Apart from a few (brilliant) mixes, you can only find one other song by the Minneapolis based artist, it’s the mesmerising ‘ESCAPIST’ which dropped in 2017. On latest single ‘Tepid’, deka’s ghostly vocals creep across the moody soundscape creating an absolutely breathtaking atmosphere.

Sudan Archives – Confessions

L.A. based violinist, singer, songwriter and producer Sudan Archives unveils ‘Confessions’, the lead single from her forthcoming debut album. Produced by Sudan Archives and Will Archer, the track follows up last year’s sensational ‘Sink’ EP which featured stand out singles like ‘Nont For Sale’ and ‘Escape’. On ‘Confessions’, Sudan Archives enlists a sporadic and bold beat which creeps its way across whilst her soulful tones add a comforting warmth.

DJDS & Dijon – Magic Loop

L.A. based duo DJDS (comprised of Same and Jerome) team up with R&B singer Dijon on the magical ‘Magic Loop. Serving as the first taste of music since they released their star-studded sophomore album ‘Big Wave More Fire’ which featured the likes of Amber Mark, Vic Mensa as well as COLORS alumni Marco McKinnis and Empress Of, ‘Magic Leap’ is delectable slice of electro-R&B. Whilst the song encompasses a slightly more mellow and softer sound compared to the pair’s more underground techno sounds, it shines just as bright with Dijon’s exceptional vocals accompanying the infectious “do do do”s that carry the track along.

W. Y. Huang – Mercy {开光}

Singapore born, New York City based singer, songwriter and producer W. Y. Huang concocts a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere in ‘Mercy {开光}’, the lead single from his forthcoming debut EP titled ‘Crossing The Great Water 利涉大川’. The hypnotic and utterly intoxicating song incorporates Eastern-inspired sounds and moulds them seamlessly with more contemporary inflections to create an entirely immersive sound. It’s one of those rare gems that unravels a new layer with each listen – a masterfully produced song that is further heightened by Huang’s ardent vocals.

NINTH CHILD – VIRGO

Ninth Child’s ethereal voice is etched delicately into the soulful edges of her heavy drops with a psychedelic style that provides a sonic refuge for listeners.
