COLORS showcases exceptional talent from all around the globe, focused on the most distinctive new artists and original sounds.

Zamdane

Born and raised in Marrakech, Morocco, the France-based rapper Ayoub Zaidane (aka Zamdane) released his debut single, ‘Sinbad’, in 2017. However, it was the trap-inspired production and sharp delivery of ‘Favaro’, released later that year, that really brought Zamdane to the music world’s attention. He’s known for his exquisite wordplay and storytelling, and has showcased his talents on projects like ‘20’s’ (2018), ‘Affamé’ (2018), ‘Z’ (2019), and ‘Chrysalis’ (2020). In 2022, Zamdane dropped ‘Couleur de ma peine’, his debut full length studio album including highlights such as ‘Le monde par ma fenêtre’, ‘Boyka’, and ‘Fauves’, a collaboration with COLORS alum Jazzy Bazz.

For his debut A COLORS SHOW, Zamdane follows up his recent collection of fiery freestyles, ‘Affamé – Saison 3’, with an affecting performance of his new single ‘Mélancolie criminelle’. Against a stripped-back soundtrack of tender piano melodies crafted by COLORS alum Sofiane Pamart, the artist uses touching words to reflect on his past with a controlled grace. Watch the full performance above, and make sure to keep an eye out for more from Zamdane later this year.
