Having set the stage alight with his rendition of ‘Open Up’ earlier this year, St. Lucia-born, Paris-based producer Poté is back with another mesmerising performance. Over the years, Poté’s distinct production and poetic songwriting have shone through on projects like Over The Water’, ‘Fire for Fire’, ‘Spiral, My Love’ and most recently his collection of double-tracks ‘Rose’ and ‘Rose, Vol 2’ which dropped last year.

Returning today with a special A COLORS ENCORE performance of ‘ur < 3’ which is taken from ‘Rose, Vol. 2’, Poté explores the complexities of love. There’s a sense of hope and warmth in Poté’s delivery despite the heartbreaking words. Each passing note from the synth and the utterance of “It’s our forever love”, is a step closer to solace and peace. Over the years, Poté has shared a collection of incredible projects in the form of ‘Over The Water’, ‘Fire for Fire’ as well as released his superb debut studio album ‘Spiral, My Love’ in 2018. What makes Poté’s music so powerful is the attention to detail; there are nuances and moments in his work that elevate the listening experience and convey his stories so eloquently – this is ever present in recent offerings ‘Rose’ and ‘Pearls’ which dropped last year.

Having featured on our HOME/BRED sessions from last year in which he performed a stellar rendition of ‘Close’ from ‘Rose, Vol. 2’, Poté drops by the COLORS stage for a performance of wavey new single ‘Open Up’. Driven by subtle electronics and percussive flourishes that are backed up by a warming bass, its Poté’s freeing lyrics and soothing tones that truly shine here.
