Muddy Monk – Baby
Muddy Monk is the project of Switzerland-born Guillaume Dietrich, who creates dreamy pop tunes that transport you to another world. A quick peak at his SoundCloud, and you’ll see that Muddy Monk has been releasing music for quite some time now, but it’s with his debut album Longue Ride, where he truly shines. Released last November, the ten-track project features the singles “En Lea” and “L’aventura”; showcasing Dietrich’s heavenly vocals traipsing over richly textured instrumentation.
For his COLORS show, Muddy Monk lays down a stunning performance of “Baby”, a sparkling number which sees the singer/songwriter shine from start to finish. With those soft synths carrying the track along, it’s Muddy Monk’s fragile and angelic falsetto-laden vocal performance which steals the show.
