jarreau vandal

Amsterdam based producer and DJ Jarreau Vandal creates genre-bending soundscapes that transport the listener to a place of tranquility. Having impressed with a slew of remixes of songs by the likes of G-Eazy, Diplo, Janet Jackson and COLORS alumni Mahalia which caught the attention of tastemaker label Soulection, Vandal has gone onto release his own tropical concoctions such as ‘Murder’ and ‘Someone That You Love’ as well as projects like ‘Suburb Superhero’ and ‘Anthology’.

Jarreau Vandal – Nothing Nice

If you loved Jarreau Vandal’s medley of ‘My Way’ and ‘Bad Shit’ earlier this week, you’ll absolutely adore his ENCORE performance. The Amsterdam based artist’s versatility as a producer is present throughout his discography, with each project exporting new avenues and sounds. From 2018’s ‘Anthology’ to more recent cuts like ‘My Way’ (which features Col3trane) and ‘Bad Shit’ which are taken from his new EP ‘Suburb Superhero: The Villain Within’, Jarreau Vandal has continually shown why he’s one of the most exciting producers around.

As part of his COLORS ENCORE performance, Jarreau Vandals delivers a gorgeous stripped back performance of ‘Nothing Nice’, another striking moment on the EP. Backed by nothing but gentle piano progressions, the performance gives an entirely new and refreshing take on the original studio version which features COLORS alumni Kojey Radical and Gaidaa. Watch and listen as Vandal flexes his vocals and be sure to check out ‘Suburb Superhero: The Villain Within’ too!
