Nigerian singer-songwriter Fireboy DML – real name Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan – has gained international acclaim with his renowned genre-blending sound that fuses Afrobeat, R&B and pop. After showcasing his distinctive voice and sharp songwriting on early albums ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps’ (2019) and ‘Apollo’ (2020), Fireboy broke through with his 2022 single ‘Peru,’ later featuring Ed Sheeran in a remix that peaked at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart.
