Few voices have made quite an impact on music quite like that of R&B superstar Brandy. The singer’s multi-decade career has given rise to seven studio-albums, including the likes of multi-platinum selling records ‘Brandy’ and ‘Never Say Never’, as well as ‘Full Moon’, ‘Afrodisiac’, ‘Human’, “Two Eleven’, and most recently ‘B7’. In each record, Brandy explores themes of love, loss, life, and everything in between through her poetic songwriting, unique voice, and stylistic sounds.
For her A COLORS SHOW, Brandy delivers a masterful performance of ‘Rather Be’, a highlight from ‘B7’. Opening with a soothing bass-heavy soundscape, the ballad sees Brandy use her smooth and sultry tones to seduce her love interest. Serving as the conclusion to our collaborative series with Motown Records celebrating Black Music Month, the performance also celebrates Brandy recently signing with the label.
