Ben Carrillo – PESADILLAS | A COLORS SHOW
Singer, songwriter, filmmaker, and creative director Ben Carrillo isn’t afraid to experiment with new sounds. By working with an amalgamation of genres including reggae, rap, rock and reggaeton, Carrillo makes music that reflects his journey from Guatemala to the States aged 15 in search of the American dream. Following early releases like ‘Espinas’ and ‘Tequila’, Carrillo dropped his debut EP, ‘Crecimiento, Demos’, in 2021. Last year, Carrillo released ‘BROKEN HEART ANTHEMS’ EP, his four-track project capturing the nuances of love and heartbreak.
For COLORS, the Carrillo shares a passionate rendition of ‘PESADILLAS’, a standout track from the EP. Against a soundscape of delicate keys and a sparkling electronic beat, the artist employs heartfelt vocals to lament the loss of a past lover.
