bakar

Revitalising London’s rock and roll scene with his fresh sounds, Bakar first graced the COLORS stage with an exclusive performance of ‘Scott Free’, a powerful cut that expertly combined rock, punk and even a dash of hip hop. Fast forward to 2019, and the artist has continued to impress with his unique sounds on last year’s ‘Badkid’ album and most recently, with the release of his fantastic EP ‘Will You Be My Yellow?’ which features ‘Stop Selling Her Drugs’, a collaboration with Dominic Fike

Bakar – Hell N Back

Revitalising London’s rock and roll scene with his fresh sounds, Bakar first graced the COLORS stage with an exclusive performance of ‘Scott Free’, a powerful cut that expertly combined rock, punk and even a dash of hip hop. Fast forward to 2019, and the artist has continued to impress with his unique sounds on last year’s ‘Badkid’ album and most recently, with the release of his fantastic EP ‘Will You Be My Yellow?’ which features ‘Stop Selling Her Drugs’, a collaboration with Dominic Fike.

Back at the COLORS studio, Bakar shares more of his genre-bending atmospherics with a vibrant, jazz-inflected performance of ‘Hell N Back’, another stand out offering from ‘Will You Be My Yellow?’. The deceptively cheerful production masks a rather dark and heartfelt narrative where Bakar relays the journey of going to hell and back to find inner peace after a toxic relationship. Enjoy the performance of ‘Hell N Back’ up top and don’t forget to give ‘Will You Be My Yellow?’ a spin too!
