Alicante, Spain-based guitarist Yerai Cortés is part of a fresh wave of artists pushing the boundaries of flamenco music. Since learning the guitar from his father, Miguel, at a young age, Cortés has shared the stage and collaborated with renowned musicians and flamenco pioneers including Rocío Molina, Rosario La Tremendita, Rycardo Moreno, and Manuel Liñán. Over the past decade, he’s blurred the lines between the genre’s traditional and contemporary iterations, creating exquisite compositions, performances, and albums together with Juan Debel.

Ahead of the release of his first solo album, Alicante, Spain-based Flamenco guitarist Yerai Cortés shares ‘Romance’. Showcasing his signature playing style, which draws on the classical ‘gitano’ tradition, the track captures both the vibrant passion and tender sweetness of the composition’s titular emotion.
