yellow days – love is everywhere

George van den Broek creates melancholic indie soul-pop as Yellow Days. Over the past few years, the rising singer/songwriter has impressed with a number of projects in the form of ‘Harmless Melodies’ and ‘Is Everything Okay In Your World?’, showcasing his yearning vocals and guitar-laden melodies on standout tracks like ‘That Easy’ and ‘I’ve Been Thinking Too Hard’. This past September, Yellow Days released his second studio album ‘A Day In A Yellow Boat’, another brilliant record that features contributions from the likes of Shirley Jones, Nick Walters, Bishop Nehru and Mac DeMarco.

Today, Yellow Days returns to the COLORS stage with a stripped-back performance of ‘Love Is Everywhere’, the closing track to the new album. Soundtracked by soothing keys and van den Broek’s brilliant guitarwork, ‘Love Is Everywhere’ sees the singer wear his heart on his sleeve as the song serves as “a metaphor for drug usage”. Watch the performance of ‘Love Is Everywhere’ above and be sure to put ‘A Day In A Yellow Boat’ (which features previous single ‘Treat You Right’) on rotation too.
