Tay Iwar is a Nigerian vocalist, lyricist, and music producer whose music seamlessly weaves together elements of R&B and Afro-fusion with traditional Afrobeats and hip-hop. He has emerged as a prominent luminary in the African scene, releasing noteworthy projects including ‘Passport’ (2014), ‘Renasentia’ (2016), and ‘Love & Isolation’ (2021). This year (2023), Iwar dropped his fifth EP ‘Summer Breeze’, which features the stand out singles ‘Undercover Lover’ (ft. Twelve XII), ‘Healing’, and ‘Broken Promises’, a collaboration with COLORS alumnus Kojey Radical.
For COLORS, Iwar serves up a sensational slice of his Afro-fusion sounds with a delightful medley of ‘Don’t Lie’ (lifted from ‘Summer Breeze’), and a snippet from his new song ‘See It Through’.
