Saba – There You Go
Chicago based artist SABA has been on a roll of late – and there’s simply no stopping him. Last year saw the release of his impressive Bucket List Project mixtape/album which certified him as one of the most exciting wordsmith’s around. What made the record so refreshing however, was its celebratory and positive mindset which really shows what kind of artist SABA truly is. It should come as no surprise then, that SABA brings the same vibrancy and joy to the COLORS stage.
If you’re looking for something that’ll lift your spirits, then look no further than this electrifying performance of “There You Go” which was released this past summer. From start to finish, SABA is in the zone, his infectious energy oozing with each and every word, line and bar. Opening with a short jazzy intersection, the track comes to life instantly with SABA’s sharp rhymes which he moves from one line to the next with a crisp clarity. The gentle keys add a warmth to the otherwise frenetic track, providing a wonderful balance to the instrumentation which was penned by SABA and Daoud.
