Joowon Kang, known professionally as oceanfromtheblue, is a Seoul-based R&B singer-songwriter known for his smooth vocals and charming lyrics. The artist started songwriting during university, and built a strong online following before releasing his debut EP, ‘Luv-fi’, in 2018. Since then, oceanfromtheblue’s haunting vocals and rich instrumentals have captured the ears of listeners around the world. Some of his standout projects include ‘khaki’ (2020), ‘episode ii’ (2020), ‘take off’ (2020), ‘Messages’ (2021), and ‘forward’ (2021). Most recently, oceanfromtheblue released his self-titled debut album, which features highlights such as ‘Come Back Home’ (ft. Yeeun), ‘Scent’ and ‘Close to You’ (ft. sunwoojunga).
