Mazen – Strawberry Privilege | A COLORS SHOW
Egyptian-American rapper, producer, and songwriter Mazen cut his musical teeth participating in rap battles in his hometown of Lakeland, Florida before releasing his debut single, ‘Platonic’, in 2018. His debut album, ‘Odyssey’, came out the following year, boasting standout singles including ‘Melrose Place’, ‘Candy’ and ‘Closer’. Since then, the Mazen has continually impressed audiences with singles such as ‘Nikes’ (2020), ‘Dork’ (2021) and ‘Pellegrino Freestyle (2022)’. His 2023 EP, ‘Ozone Baby’, is a culmination of all his musical experience so far, and features collaborations with COLORS alumni Erick the Architect and Col3trane.
For COLORS, Mazen shares a stellar performance of his brand new single ‘Strawberry Privilege’. Against a soundscape of gentle keys and a bass-heavy beat, the artist lyrically explores the experience of embracing a luxurious lifestyle, showcasing his stylistic diversity and confident storytelling in the process.
