Maryland rapper Matt McGhee has been on the come up for quite some time now, impressing with his ambitious production and slick songwriting with tracks like “good luck”, “Show Up” and “FLIPMODE” and more. Last year though, McGhee cemented his status as one of the most exciting artists to come out of the DMV with the release of Under New Management the brilliant follow up to 2014’s SHOW project. Featuring the previously released tracks “Moving” and “Shining” along with contributions from the likes of rMell, King Rose, Autumn LaBella, Ponch, Malik and more, the eleven-track project wonderfully showcased McGhee’s artistry.
As part of his COLORS show, Mat McGhee treats us to a performance of a brand new track in the form of “Sweat”. Soundtracked by an energetic beat which boasts a killer bassline, the instrumentation serves as the perfect backdrop to McGhee’s laid back but equally direct flow and delivery. Check out the performance up top and if you haven’t already, give Under New Management a spin too!
