Luedji Gomes Santa Rita, better known as Luedji Luna is a singer and songwriter from Salvador, Brazil whose music will heal and soothe your soul from start to finish. Having performed in recitals in the main stages of Salvador and acting as singer of the night in the bars in 2011, Luna went onto the regional stage of the French Song Festival two years later and lent her endearing voice to a song in the show ‘Black Spot on White Screen’, directed by Kléia Maquenda. In 2017, Luna released ‘Um Corpo No Mundo’ (which loosely translates to ‘A Body in the World’), her unequivocally beautiful snapshot of her African ancestry and womanhood.
As part of her COLORS session, Luedji Luna delivers an absolutely soul stirring performance of ‘Acalanto’, a stand out single which is taken from her stunning album ‘Um Corpo No Mundo’. Producer Sebastian Notini sets the scene with the most serene guitars and drums that transport you to the beaches of Rio whilst an underlying bass serves as the rays of the sun. Add Luedji Luna’s delicate tones into the mix, and you can’t help but succumb to the sounds, the rhythms, the soul that exudes throughout the performance. See for yourself up top, and be sure to give Luedji Luna’s ‘Um Corpo No Mundo’ record a spin too!
