Lou Phelps – Tu T’en Souviens | A COLORS SHOW

Over the years, Montreal-based Haitian-Canadian rapper, producer and DJ Lou Phelps has become known for his brand of club-ready hip-hop. Since making waves with projects such as ‘001: Experiments’ (2017), ‘002 / LOVE ME’ (2018) and ‘03: EXTRA EXTRA!’ (2020), last year Phelps linked up with Rostrum Records to release a handful of singles including ‘Touché’, ‘Greatest’, and ‘Here We Go’. With a new project on the horizon, Phelps is continuing to push the envelope of what hip-hop can sound like by incorporating his anthemic, dance-inspired production with a slick flow on recent singles ‘White Flower’ and ‘I Dunno’.

For COLORS, Phelps shares a tantalizing performance of his brand new single ‘Tu T’en Souviens’. Against a sparse electronic beat and warbling bass lines, the artist suavely switches between English, French, and Haitian Creole as he reminisces about falling for someone. Watch the performance in full above and be sure to check out ‘Chèlbè’.
