Liniker – Presente
Apart from being known for her LGBTQ+ activism, Brazilian artist Liniker is celebrated just as much for her music; which at its core is rooted in love. Fronting one of the country’s most prolific soul bands in Liniker E Os Caramelows, Liniker is a black tansgender woman who sings about love and loss, conveying narratives and emotions with that disarmingly beautiful and powerful voice of hers. Over the past few years, Liniker has released several albums in the form of ‘Remonta’ in 2016 and most recently, ‘Goela Abaixo’ which featured stand out singles like ‘Calmô’ and ‘Intimidade’.
For COLORS, Liniker delivers a spellbinding performance of previously unreleased single ‘Presente’. The production is gentle yet strong, those superb guitar lines propelling the track forwards as Liniker’s arresting vocals take centre stage.
