Emicida – São Pixinguinha | A COLORS SHOW

Leandro Roque de Oliveira, aka Emicida, is one of the most prominent voices to come out of Brazil. Since impressing with his debut mixtape ‘Pra Quem Já Mordeu Um Cachorro Por Comida, Até Que Eu Cheguei Longe…’ in 2009, the São Paulo-born artist and activist has continued to showcase his dynamic sounds on albums including ‘O Glorioso Retorno de Quem Nunca Esteve Aqui’, ‘Sobre Crianças, Quadris, Pesadelos e Lições de Casa…’, and ‘Língua Franca’. Last year, Emicida released ‘Amarelo’, a record featuring stand out singles including ‘Principia’, ‘Pequenas Alegrias de Vida Adulta’, and ‘Amarelo’, as well as collaborations with the likes of Ibeyi, Zeca Pagodinho, Marcos Valle, Majur, and Pabllo Vittar.

For his debut A COLORS SHOW, Emicida brings his vibrant rhymes to the COLORS stage with a refreshing performance of his new single ‘São Pixinguinha’. A sensational combination of samba and MPB (Música popular brasileira), ‘São Pixinguinha’ is a shining example of Emicida’s poetic and spiritual songwriting, which he lays over uplifting and revitalizing instrumentals.
