With a magnetic stage presence, and a lyrical flow that effortlessly weaves between Darija (Moroccan Arabic), French, and English, Taha Fahassi, professionally known as ElGrandeToto, stands as Morocco’s reigning rap icon. Fusing traditional North African rhythms with modern hip-hop, ElGrandeToto is known for delivering a message of resilience and social-consciousness, as heard on “Illicit’ (2018), and ‘Caméléon’ (2021). More recently, ElGrandeToto linked up with Nigerian singer-songwriter CKay on the North African remix of the viral hit single, ‘Love Nwantiti’. Currently, ElGrandeToto is gearing up for the release of his long-awaited sophomore album.
