Eddy de Pretto is one of a kind. The Parisian singer/songwriter has been making quite the impression over the past year or so with his genre-bending songs. Effortlessly blending elements of pop, hip hop, electronic and R&B and presenting in seamless cuts such as “Kid” and “Fête de trop” taken from last year’s fantastic Kid EP, Eddy de Pretto is without a shadow of a doubt one of the most exciting artists to come out of France since Christine and the Queens.
For his COLORS session, Eddy de Pretto delivers an intoxicating and stunning performance of brand new offering “Random”. Opening with twinkling piano keys, the track blossoms into a force of power as Eddy de Pretto’s soaring vocals traipse across the soundscape. With an orchestral flourish to soundtrack the chorus, “Random” beautifully finds the sweet spot between the past and present as it blends classical instrumentation with a futuristic and modern twist. We can’t wait to hear what Eddy de Pretto has in store for us this year, but if “Random” is anything to go by – we’re pretty sure it’s going to be something special!
