Bryte – Olukeke | A COLORS SHOW
London-based Ghanaian rapper and vocalist Bryte’s hybrid mix of sounds has cultivated a following that extends beyond his native Ghana and the UK. In 2018, the artist released his debut album ‘Too Good for Your Liking’, which featured standout tracks such as ‘Mama Dey Party’ and ‘Pressure’. Subsequently, the project was followed up by a run of equally engrossing singles including ‘1,2,3,4’, ‘Ice Cream’, and ‘See Something (with Mina). More recently, Bryte dropped two EPs titled ‘Abeka Bugatti’ (2021) and ‘DNM’ (2022), the latter of which features contributions from Le Motel, Famous Eno, Halal Dog, and The Busy Twist amongst others.
With a new project on the way, Bryte stops by the COLORS stage to deliver a thrilling performance of his new single ‘Olukeke’. Against explosive instrumentation—a perfect example of the artist’s signature combination of afro-electronic, rap, and experimental club sounds—Bryte lays down a combination of Pidgin English, Ga, and Twi lyrics. Check it out the full performance above—make sure to have a groove to its infectious rhythms!
