badi – Mauvaise Ambiance
Throughout his discography Brussels-born and raised artist Badi (aka Badibanga Ndeka) has crafted sonics that fuse together contemporary electronics with African influences. Born to Congolese parents, Badi’s exploration of these hybrid soundscapes is present from the very beginning on early projects like ‘Si je meurs’ and ‘Jump’ both of which dropped in 2011. Over the years, Badi’s output as a musician, vocalist and importantly a songwriter, has continued to evolve and grow, culminating on his striking 2017 full length album ‘Article XV’.
With a new album just around the corner, the Belgian / African artist shares a powerful Afro-infused performance of latest single ‘Mauvaise Ambiance’ as part of his A COLORS SHOW. With production from avant-garde instrumentalist Boddhi Satva, the track arrives with a pulsating club Afro-beat that boasts slick electronics as the perfect backdrop for Badi to reflect on the current societal landscape. Check out the intense performance of ‘Mauvaise Ambiance’ (which translates to ‘Bad Atmosphere’) up top and be sure to check out Badi’s new album ‘Trouble Fête’.
