Allan Rayman – Gun

Over the past few years, Toronto based artist Allan Rayman has been something of an enigma – he lets his music speak for itself. With the release of two full-length studio albums, an unplugged record, a comprehensive tour plus his brand new EP Courtney having just dropped, to say that Rayman has been a busy man is an understatement. On Courtney, Rayman offers up his intoxicating brand of R&B whilst bringing in elements of rock to give the five tracks that extra bit of magic.

Coming out of the shadows for COLORS (there really aren’t too many live video performances of Rayman), the singer/songwriter performs a breathtaking rendition of opening track “Gun”. The fiery performance marries Rayman’s raw and gritty vocals with some equally powerful and spirited instrumentation which is driven by pounding drums and some sublime guitar chords. Without a shadow of a doubt, the star of the show has to be Rayman’s raspy voice – it’s one of those sessions that you’ll keep coming back to because you simply can’t get enough. Enjoy the dazzling show up top and make sure you give Courtney a spin too – it’s brilliant!
