Valentin Hansen – Pain

August 19

Berlin based artist Valentin Hansen shares the striking and captivating music video for his latest single ‘Pain’. Soundtracked by minimalist guitar chords which are later topped off by glitchy electronics, the track sees Hansen’s yearning tones wash over the subdued soundscape as he sings about “the evolution of the separation of two people”. Check out the disorienting visual here and be sure to keep an eye out for Hansen’s forthcoming debut EP ‘Ways’.

FLØRE – Little Dancing Demons

There’s something magical and utterly enchanting about the latest single from rising German artist FLØRE. Behind the eerie and almost whimsical soundscape of ‘Little Dancing Demons’, lies a more powerful and heartfelt message. The song is “about embracing the deep sadness [of living with depression] and accepting the world as a permanent dark place“. Despite this, FLØRE’s comforting and touching voice makes it easier with each note, line, verse.

Parra for Cuva – While You Sleep (ft. May)

A relentless fascination for sound and harmony led Nicolas Demuth aka Parra for Cuva commence his quest for music at a very young age. A combination of musical instruments, synthesizers and digital music editing mostly results into an art of creating music pieces from melodies, soft beats and sounds that he records in his daily life. ‘While you Sleep’ is a single from his latest album ‘Paspatou’ holding one of the most interesting writing processes for the artist as the entire song was recorded with live instruments; thus making it a first for a producer who spends most of his time in front of the computer. One can be found with their eyes closed falling into movements of indistinguishable melodies that touches the soul hoping for this well mended electronica experience never to take an end.
