COLLECT gives the global COLORS community the opportunity to be part of the moment, support the artists they believe in and join them on their journeys. It sets artists up with a community of fans who are there from day one – allowing them to stay true to their art while navigating a web of algorithms. Collectors have the opportunity to attain a moment in history that holds significance for the artist, COLORS, and for yourself.

If you’re already set up with a wallet address on Ethereum, all you have to do is hit Collect when there’s a live drop and make sure you have enough ETH in your wallet.

If you are new, follow these steps:

• You will need to create an ‘address’ on Ethereum for yourself. We’ll explain how in the next step. Think of it a little bit like registering an account or email address.
• Pick a wallet app. We like using Rainbow or the Coinbase Wallet app. Both are great. Go with your vibe.
• Follow the app’s instructions to create yourself an address. Instructions for: Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet.
• Top your new wallet up with some ETH. The app should have instructions for how to do so. Please note that there are additional transaction costs to collecting as well as transferring, often referred to as network fees or ‘gas’. We recommend adding a buffer of $25 on top.
• Once you’ve added ETH to your wallet, go to the drop page and hit COLLECT. Connect your wallet and follow the instructions. Wait a moment for the transaction to finish and you should see the digital collectible appear in your wallet.
• You will now find yourself in the collector’s list on the drop page. Hit the Edit icon next to your wallet address in order to change your display name to your Instagram or TikTok handle, for instance.

Note that on Ethereum, collectibles are referred to as NFTs, or more technically ‘ERC-721’, and collecting is called ‘minting’.

Each edition is limited by the amount collected during its drop phase. This means that they signify a moment in time, fractionalized by the number of people joining the journey.

Collect as many as you want.

As you build your collection, you’re not just becoming a part of COLORS history; you’re also directly supporting artists. The proceeds from each collectible are evenly divided, with 50% going to the artist. The remaining 50% will go to COLORS and will be used to make more shows collectible and add new features to the platform. We process these payment splits through our partner Reveel.

Currently only Ether (“ETH”). For future drops we are looking to make it possible to pay by credit card.

No, once collected, the NFT is nonrefundable and this action is irreversible. If you do not wish to keep the collectible, you can sell the collectible on the secondary market via sites like OpenSea, or transfer it to someone else.

Yes, if you know their Ethereum address. Be careful to double-check the address: sending cannot be undone.

This is a presale phase that allows the people who have made COLLECT possible to grab their collectibles. Thank you for your support! Once this phase is complete, everyone will be able to collect the drop for the duration listed on the COLLECT page.

Each drop is time limited. This means that if 100 collectibles are purchased during this time window, there will only ever be 100 in existence. You can try to complete your collection by placing a bid through a marketplace like OpenSea or Zora.

These digital collectibles are NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. In 2022, Ethereum went through an upgrade which reduced its energy consumption by 99.992% to negligible levels when compared to, for example, streaming services, payment services, and touring. Prior to this, we’ve always offset our emissions related to NFTs.

After collecting, you will always be able to find your collectible in your wallet. You will also be listed on the show’s page as a collector and have a profile where your collectibles will show up. You can customize your name on your profile so you can share who you are.

Enjoy your digital collectible! Purchasing this collectible does not constitute a transfer or license to any of the intellectual property contained or associated with the NFT. All rights remain with the original rights holders. COLORS is not in a position to pay the performance and mechanical licenses that third-party platforms are required to have in place in order to allow for playback. When in doubt, you can always return to the COLORS website in order to enjoy your collectibles.

ZORA exists to provide tools for creativity to be discovered, distributed and collected onchain–meaning, your work is fully controlled and operated by you, the artist. As long as the blockchain exists, your work remains intact and yours to own. COLORS has partnered with ZORA to make COLLECT possible.

Play it safe and never share your wallet passphrase with anyone. Nobody connected to COLORS will ever ask for this information. Double check the website URL whenever you interact with COLORS COLLECT. Go to any COLLECT page and connect your Ethereum wallet in the top right hand corner. Once connected, click on your address. You should now be taken to your profile.

On your profile, hit the EDIT NAME button. Set it to whatever you like, for example your social media handle so you can connect with others.
