Zuukou Mayzie – Haku
Paris-based, Senegalese rapper Zuukou Mayzie (aka Youssouf Sy) is the latest artist to drop by the COLORS stage. Since releasing his magnificent debut project ‘Disneyland’ back in 2017, Mayzie has dropped a number of equally impressive collections of songs in the form of ‘Finder’, ‘Best Of’, ‘J.M.U.A.Z’ and most recently ‘Primera Temporada’. On ‘Primera Temporada’, Zuukou Mayzie flexes his exceptional storytelling and versatile delivery over refreshing, vibrant soundscapes on standout singles like ‘Vincente’, ‘Docteur Lulu’ and ‘Qui-Gon Jinn’.
Today, Zuukou Mayzie gives us a glimpse of his new project ‘Segunda Temporada’ with a laidback performance of new singles ‘Haku / Hésitation’. Over a dreamy, almost magical soundscape that’s carried by a killer bass, Mayzie works his magic with a nonchalant and relaxed delivery before switching things up for ‘Hésitation’ which boasts a slightly more upbeat atmosphere.
