Nadah El Shazly – Bānit | A COLORS SHOW
Cairo-raised producer and vocalist Nadah El Shazly worked with choirs, and across punk rock and electronica before releasing her debut studio album, ‘Ahwar’ in 2017. Since then, she’s become a pillar of the Egyptian underground music scene and collaborated with the orchestra Land of Kush on their single ‘Aha’ in 2019. Earlier this year, she also appeared on Atlanta-born post-punk band Algiers’ track ‘Cold World’.
For her debut COLORS performance, El Shazly delivers a haunting performance of ‘Bānit’, a brand new single that will feature on her forthcoming album. Featuring captivating, smoky vocals, the self-produced song embodies El Shazly’s signature sound as it combines contemporary electronics with traditional Arabic influences.
