COLORS showcases exceptional talent from all around the globe, focused on the most distinctive new artists and original sounds.

Lous and the yakuza

Having already wowed us with her stunning performance of ‘Dilleme’ earlier this week, Belgian-Congolese artist Lous and the Yakuza graces the COLORS stage once again for a special ENCORE performance. As with each of the two other tracks that the singer has put out thus far, ‘Solo’ is produced by El Guincho (best known for his work on Rosalía’s ‘Malamente’) who serves up a serene and gentle atmosphere for Lous and the Yakuza to work her magic with those sublime vocals of hers.

Lous and the Yakuza – solo

Having already wowed us with her stunning performance of ‘Dilleme’ earlier this week, Belgian-Congolese artist Lous and the Yakuza graces the COLORS stage once again for a special ENCORE performance. As with each of the two other tracks that the singer has put out thus far, ‘Solo’ is produced by El Guincho (best known for his work on Rosalía’s ‘Malamente’) who serves up a serene and gentle atmosphere for Lous and the Yakuza to work her magic with those sublime vocals of hers.

For her ENCORE session, Lous and the Yakuza showcases her golden tones with a breathtaking acapella rendition of ‘Solo’. If the original was powerful, this version of ‘Solo’ takes things to another level as you find yourself hooked on each and every line as Lous and the Yakuza sings about the Belgian colonial force in the Congo; a country that she had to leave at the age of four due to the war. Enjoy ‘Solo’ up top and keep an eye out for Lous and the Yakuza’s forthcoming debut album which is slated to drop later this year.

Lous and Yakuza – Bon Acteur

Belgian-Congoloese musician Marie-Pierra Kakoma creates edgy and evocative sounds as Lous and the Yakuza. Having introduced herself with her stunning debut single ‘Dilleme’ towards the end of last year, the singer/songwriter has gone onto release a slew of equally arresting songs like ‘Tout est gore’ and ‘SOLO’. Lous and the Yakuza’s music exudes an elegance that yields just the right amount of bite to keep you on your toes as she sings and raps her way into your heart.

For COLORS, the Brussels-based artist delivers a majestic performance of new single ‘Bon Acteur’. Kakoma’s exquisite vocals are silky smooth; they float across the slick trap-inspired beat with an effortlessness and grace. Dive into the brilliant performance up top and be sure to keep an eye out for more from this rising artist.
