Having wowed us with a spectacular rendition of brand new single ‘Lose Control’ earlier this week, Rotterdam based rapper Elijah Waters returns once more for A COLORS ENCORE performance. The rising artist paints images and conveys narratives that are instantly relatable and honest – that’s exactly the case with ‘A Sunday Kind of Love’, his most recent full length studio album which dropped last year. Since then, Elijah has shared a slew of singles in the form of ‘Knew Ya’, ‘Swan Lake’ and most recently ‘You’re My Answer’, each of which further showcase his exemplary wordplay and production chops too.
As part of his COLORS ENCORE, Elijah Waters treats us to a sublime performance of ‘Centerfold’, a slow-burning number taken from ‘A Sunday Kind of Love’. With a minimal piano-led instrumentation that features some gritty guitars, ‘Centerfold’ sees Waters lay down his laid-back, mellow tones as she sings/raps about how life can sometimes be a blur and pass so quickly. Rotterdam based artist and member of the Green Cabin collective Elijah Waters has been impressing with his slick combination of Hip-Hop/Rap and soul over the past few years. Having introduced himself with his ‘Burning Rivers’ EP in 2017, Waters went onto drop his collaborative project with Green Cabin producer Nash Crebula called ‘No Sleep In The Southside’ and ‘Mr. Waters’ the following year. Last year, Elijah continued his streak with the release of ‘A Sunday Kind of Love’ which features standout singles like ‘Alien’ and ‘Please Don’t Forget’.

For COLORS, Elijah Waters shares a mellow and soulful performance of previously unreleased single ‘Lose Control’. Soundtracked by high-hats that are topped off by a warbling bass, it’s Elijah’s soft, subtle tones that steal the show here, not to mention those heavenly backing vocals.
