Black Pumas, is the creative partnership between Grammy Award-winning guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada and singer/songwriter Eric Burton who create soulful cuts that are sprinkled with a dose of funk. Since introducing themselves with double A-side singles ‘Fire / Black Moon Rising’, the pair have since gone onto release their incredible self-titled debut album last year. The record, which features stand out singles like ‘Colors’ and ‘Know You Better’, wonderfully captures the essence of Black Pumas musicianship and artistry – each song is rich with poetic storytelling, heartwarming vocals and sublime instrumentation.
For COLORS, the Texan duo drop an ever so soulful performance of ‘Oct 33’, a highlight from ‘Black Pumas’. Opening with gentle acoustic guitars and the serene vocals of Burton, the slow-burning number eases into its rhythm as more layers of instrumentation are added into the mix.
