BERWYN – To Be Loved

Trinidad-born, Romford-raised rapper, singer, songwriter and producer BERWYN is one of the most exciting artists around. Having lent his voice to Everything Is Recorded’s ‘FRIDAY FOREVER’ album last year, BERWYN went onto release a slew of singles including breakthrough cuts ‘GLORY’ and ‘TRAP PHONE’. Towards the end of last year, BERWYN dropped ‘DEMOTAPE / VEGA’, his striking debut project which reveals the intricate layers and poignant penmanship of the rising artist.

As part of his A COLORS SHOW, BERWYN showcases a softer side with a heartfelt and devastatingly beautiful performance of ‘TO BE LOVED’ . Taken from his forthcoming new project ‘TAPE 2 / FOMALHAUT’ (which also features previously released singles ‘I’D RATHER DIE THAN BE DEPORTED’ AND ‘RUBBER BANDS’), ‘TO BE LOVED’ sees BERWYN at his most vulnerable as those gentle keys accompany the pain and heartbreak of his words. Watch the magical performance up top and be sure to give ‘TAPE 2 / FOMALHAUT’ a spin too.

“MAKE LOVE” BY BERWYN X MAXIM TURRENT

Right on time for his COLORS performance, Berwyn shares the love, teaming up with fellow London-based visual artist, Maxim Turrent for our next Artist Editions drop.

Maxim’s spray-paint design is a typographic interpretation of Berwyn’s delicate ballad: “To Be Loved“,  adapting the typeface “Alphabet Erotique,” by an anonymous French artist in 1910.
