COLORS showcases exceptional talent from all around the globe, focused on the most distinctive new artists and original sounds.

badi

Throughout his discography Brussels-born and raised artist Badi (aka Badibanga Ndeka) has crafted sonics that fuse together contemporary electronics with African influences. Born to Congolese parents, Badi’s exploration of these hybrid soundscapes is present from the very beginning on early projects like ‘Si je meurs’ and ‘Jump’ both of which dropped in 2011. Over the years, Badi’s output as a musician, vocalist and importantly a songwriter, has continued to evolve and grow, culminating on his striking 2017 full length album ‘Article XV’.

badi – kitendi

Fresh off his sensational performance of latest single ‘Mauvaise Ambiance’ which is lifted from his new album ‘Trouble Fête’, Brussels-based artist Badi is back for another stellar performance for his A COLORS ENCORE. If you haven’t already acquainted yourself with the Belgian-Congolese rapper, Badi’s sound strikes the perfect balance of Afro-infused electronic beats with sharp, thought-provoking narratives that paint an intense yet poetic picture of Badi’s experiences.

Having cemented himself as one of the most exciting voices to come out of the Belgian capital, Badi treats us to a tantalising performance of 2017 single ‘Kitendi’. Soundtracked by a sizzling trap-inspired beat penned by long-time collaborator Boddhi Satva, ‘Kitendi’ is a hard-hitting cut that sees Badi showcase his playful yet equally fiery delivery as he raps about the elegance and importance of clothes (“Kitendi” in Lingola). Check out Badi’s A COLORS ENCORE session above and don’t forget to watch his equally impressive performance of ‘Mauvaise Ambiance’ if you haven’t already done so.
