Hildegard – Jour 1

Montreal-based duo Ouri and Helena Deland aka Hildegard share sprawling single ‘Jour 1’, which is lifted from their forthcoming self-titled debut album which was created over an eight day period. Named after the day it was created (“Jour 1” translates to “Day 1”), the enrapturing single boasts a killer club beat that is topped off with Deland’s sweet yet hazy vocals to create an entirely immersive atmosphere. Check out the track and it’s accompanying self-directed music video to the right and keep an eye out for the debut project which drops on June 4th.

Mustafa – Ali

Toronto-based songwriter, poet and COLORS alum Mustafa announces his long-awaited debut album with the release of powerful new single and video ‘Ali’. Serving as the follow up to last year’s ‘Stay Alive‘ and ‘Air Forces‘ (which Mustafa performed for COLORS this past year), ‘Ali’ arrives with an equally spiritual and emotive music video which sees the artist take the helm behind the camera for the first time. Luna Li – Cherry Pit

Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist and artist Luna Li follows up her dazzling ‘Jams’ EP from earlier this year with dreamy new single ‘Cherry Pit’. Shimmering guitars and mellow drums serve as the backdrop for the track’s whimsical and enchanting instrumentation as Luna Li’s mesmerising tones sweep across in perfect harmony. No Tourists – Like Lava

Having impressed us with ‘DUMBO’ last year, Toronto-based supergroup No Tourists return with another fiery track in the form of ‘Like Lava’. Accompanied by a DIY clip filmed and directed by Kafayé, ‘Like Lava’ offers a heavy 808 beat  interspersed with breezy synths courtesy of Abdullah and universes, whilst vocalists Kafayé, Keynes Woods, Lan’do, and Deelo Avery lay down their unique verses. Planet Giza – When The Moving Stops

Montreal-based trio Planet Giza (aka Rami B, Tony Stone and DoomX) share new single ‘When The Moving Stops’. Serving as the lead single from their forthcoming new EP, the track arrives with a slick, nostalgia-inducing music video directed by Guillame Landry and Dovi Kotto, which is inspired by classic hip-hop clips from the late 90’s and early 00’s. Driven by a pounding bass and tinged with groove, the track sees the trio set the scene wonderfully for what’s to come – check out ‘When The Moving Stops’ here.

Ebhoni – Hit This

Toronto based artist Ebhoni follows up last year’s ‘MIA’ with equally explosive and impressive new single ‘Hit This’. Produced by IzyBeats (who’s worked with COLORS alumni Jorja Smith and Koffee), the Afrobeats inspired track features a fiery beat to serve as the perfect backdrop for Ebhoni’s sensual and commanding vocals. KIANA – September

Toronto-based Persian-Dutch singer and songwriter KIANA kicks off the new year with the release of lush new single ‘September’. Toronto based singer, songwriter and producer Charlotte Day Wilson returns with two glorious new singles in the form of ‘Take Care of You’ (featuring Syd) and ‘Summertime’. On both tracks, Wilson lays down her delightfully smooth and elegant vocals over soulful soundscapes that meld together a range of sounds. On ‘Take Care of You’, Syd accompanies CDW with her own magical musings to create a truly entrancing atmosphere whilst ‘Summertime’ sees Wilson “reflecting on some unrequited emotions that always seem to come back in the summer”. NO TOURISTS – DUMBO

Toronto based collective NO TOURISTS share their explosive new single ‘DUMBO’. Made up of five independent artists and two producers based in Toronto, including French-Congolese rapper Keynes Woods, and Garçons frontman Deelo Avery, NO TOURISTS showcase their blazing sound with a fusion of hip-hop, rap, R&B and soul with inspirations from the UK’s drill and grime scene.
